Is Datco Administrative Services a Scam?

I am thinking about working at home. There is a site called Datco Administrative Services. You pay $20.00 for the software and initial materials. Everying thing else is done via internet. Payment for services is via direct deposit or check. I have always heard you should not pay up front. They would have access to my credit card as well as my address and if they send a check my soc. sec. number too. Have you ever heard of them or any scams with them?

I have not heard of Datco Administrative Services, but a quick Google search turns up this post on the Work at Home Blog.

And in general, yes, you should never have to pay up front to be employed.
